Waterfire

Waterfire is an evening event that consists of 100 cauldrons filled with wood-burning fires on the three rivers that pass through downtown Providence. The string of fires illuminates nearly two-thirds of a mile where city residents and visitors gather to stroll along the river or take a ride in Venetian-inspired gondolas. The fires are lit from sunset to past midnight on select evenings from May through October. If you want to experience something that is very relaxing while still enjoying the vibrant urban scene of downtown Providence, go and experience Waterfire. There are no admission charges. Concessions are available.
